Zara white tee

I may sound like a broken record... but it's all about the details, isn't it? What may look like a very simple white tee, with a sweet detail in the form of a side cut-out, is suddenly a little more special. I love this detail! So simple, but creates so much more interest and is great for layering. Here, I paired it with a very basic white tee underneath and I think it creates a great eye-catching look, as the tee underneath cascades out and almost creates a side peplum. If you're looking to add that something extra special to your outfit (as simple as it may be), look for a unique detail, a print, or shape and you will transform any basic look into something more individual and more you!

Wearing: Zara tee (old, but how fun is this one also by Zara with a black bow in the back?); G-Star cargo pants (old, but similar G-Star here and on sale!); Free People ankle booties; Madewell bag; Swatch watch.

A very special top

How special is this Asos sequin top? Such a beauty - gorgeous gray/blue sequins that shimmer in a beautiful light blue hue when they catch some light. The gauze-like fabric, onto which the sequins are sewn, is complementary in color and adds an extra delicate touch to the overall look of this top. So beautiful and appropriate for special occasions paired with slick cigarette pants in lieu of a, say, cocktail dress. Here, with jeans, it would look great for a fun night out or a quick drink with a friend or a loved one.

Wearing: Asos top; Anine Bing jeans; Tom's ankle peep toe booties

Favorite pants

Favorite casual pants I own! Super old (a few years), but made so well that after many, many washes they still look like new. I love cargo or slacks type pants; such a perfect style for the weekend or work (if you can wear those types of pants to work). They are casual and usually very comfy, but can be upgraded to a more appropriate office look with a blouse or a white button down shirt. I have been wearing mine to so many different occasions and I never felt underdressed despite their casualness. I have the exact same pair in a very light (off-white almost) hue. And, the details are amazing too! Both back and side pockets have zippers in them (yes!) and there are piping seams all over. It may seem silly to be so excited about casual pants as much as I am, but those that appreciate the little details like I do, can totally relate here, I am sure of it!
Wearing: Gap pants (old, but these Nothmore via Asos are almost identical and currently on sale for only $18; these green, also Northmore via Asos are great too and for only $36); Forever21 tee; Free People ankle peep toes; BCBG bag.

The most beautiful pleated skirt!

When I saw this skirt, I literally gasped! One of those items, you know. I am sure we all have those moments when you see something that speaks to you so much and in that moment you know you need it! This particular version is sold out (it's Asos), but below I linked the exact same style, but in slightly different colors, also very pretty!

Wearing: Asos skirt (slightly different colors here; the exact same version but on sale with only a few sizes left); H&M tee; BCBG lace up sandals and Converse sneakers.

A perfect fall color if you ask me, but that's not why I picked this top to wear in this post. It's just that I didn't really wear it for a really long time, but still love the delicate pleating and the brick-orange hue. Pleating is very in right now, so how perfect that this blouse can see the sunlight again? I originally got it with the intention of wearing it mainly to the office, but every now and then I like pairing delicate, flowy tops with jeans for a weekend look. I am sure plenty of us have tops like this one sitting in our closets that only seem appropriate for nicer events, where we need to follow some sort of dress code, but really those can be paired with very casual pieces and worn outside the office and for occasions other than a nice dinner, church, lunch dates, etc. I like wearing mine even when running errands on the weekend.

Wearing: Blouse via Victoria's Secret (very old; but how cute is this one?); Anine Bing jeans; Zara necklace; Sam Edelman ankle peep toes.

Gray gray gray

Gray never goes out of style, does it? Such a subdued color, and yet brings so much interest and sophistication to any outfit. I have been living in these Anine Bing jeans lately (just go through my recent posts haha!) and this top is one of my favorites! It's Asos White ('White' is one of Asos labels) and I love the drape effect in the front; it adds so much dimension to an otherwise basic top. The fabric blend is pretty thick, so I can't wear it on very hot summer days, but it's perfect for fall weather with a leather jacket loosely placed over my shoulders.

Wearing: Anine Bing jeans (sold out, similar here; I got mine on major sale for less than $70); Asos White top (old, but this Asos one is so cute and only $33; this one is also by Asos and only $30); Matisse ankle peep-toes; Asos clutch.

Striped tank top

I absolutely LOVE the colors of this striped knit tank top by Free People! I am not typically wearing tank tops (I am just being weird about exposing my arms and cleavage; it may seem silly, but I can't help it!), but when I saw this one with these beautifully colorful stripes, I literally gasped haha! I saw it on Courtney Kerr of first and then it happened to be on sale via Nordstrom. It's sold out unfortunately, but I linked similar ones below.

Wearing: Free People tank top (sold out; similar one here via; another similar Asos here; both are on major sale!); Anine Bing jeans (on repeat!); BCBG lace up sandals; Ferragamo clutch (super old and was a steal; bought at TJMaxx years ago)

Flower top

Hello! This Asos flower top is one of my favorites! I love its summery style, the high-low hem and the colors of the flowers are really pretty. I got it a long time ago on, but I still go back to it every now and then and love wearing it just as much every single time. It's one of those items that I know I will keep in my closet forever...

Wearing: Asos top (old; but a very similar Asos one here); G-Star pants; Qupid sandals via mod

One of my more decorative and festive tops - this green beaded Free People flowy top I got at Loehmann's a loooong time ago. Funny that the day I finally wore it (a few weekends ago for a night out with a friend) I cut off the price tag; it's been hanging in my closet for years (!) waiting for the right moment to be put on :) I could have easily gotten rid of it during one of my closet cleanings, but luckily I didn't knowing that one day I will wear it. I love the vibrant green color that you don't often come across. I put on a sparkly tank top underneath it, as it's so low cut that no bra would look good with it and I couldn't go braless either. I think the mix of the beading with the sparkle of the grey tank top looks quite interesting.
Wearing: Free People beaded top (old; similar, beaded top here; love this green Asos top); Express tank top; Helmut Lang pants; Dune London ankle peep toe booties.
