Fall colors

Fall colors! I can't stress out enough how much I love fall, although a part of me is going to miss summer, simply by the fact that once fall comes, winter is imminent. Sad face. Anyways, today a clean and simple office look. My motto for office wardrobe is 'when in doubt, wear something black, or an all black look'. With thousands of possibilities out there when it comes to black clothing, it really is quite simple to pick something out that works for you. I am wearing a simple black Asos top that I can style so many different ways. What I like doing when I wear black basics is to at least try and introduce a pop of color via shoes or a bag, or accessorize with jewelry. Here, I introduced a pop of color via these oxblood Tom's booties (a great fall color!). I also own them in beige/nude (color is called 'Stucco') and I must say, they are my favorite peep toe ankle booties I ever owned!

Wearing: Asos top (old; but I like this Shein top and this one); H&M pants (old; these Asos are similar and I like these Shein pants with black and white chevron print); Tom's booties; Marco Buggiani bag (old, via TJ Maxx).

Denim shirt (again)...

Not to sound like a broken record, but a good denim shirt is such a must in my wardrobe! I only own a couple, both bought on Asos.com, but the one I am wearing here is by Oasis (via Asos.com). I wore it in one of my previous posts, but here I wanted to specifically pair it with gray pants, such that those burgundy ankle peep toe ankle booties truly stand out! This burgundy color just looks so rich against the gray and the blue. The deep chocolate brown color in the bag adds just the perfect amount of warmth to this whole look. I love how this color palette turned out and I hope you enjoy it too!

Wearing: Oasis denim shirt via Asos.com (sold out, but how fun is this Noisy May pinstripe denim shirt via Asos.com?); Gap pants; Marco Buggiani bag (old, via TJ Maxx); Tom's ankle peep toe ankle booties.

Casual look with plaid

Loving plaid shirts! Who doesn't? Probably the easiest and quickest fall look you can put together will involve a plaid shirt. Such a great piece for layering, with or without a jacket, and also a great way to introduce a punch of color! Keep your look monochromatic or subdued in its color palette and then just introduce a pop of color via the plaid shirt and voila! Mine is old from Forever21, but many other stores offer plaid shirts in abundance. Whatever your favorite color is, I am sure you can find just the right one for you!

Wearing: Forever21 plaid shirt (old, but almost an identical Forever21 one here; this shirt with an ombre effect by Vero Moda via asos.com is great and on sale for only $22!); H&M white tee; Gap pants (old, but similar ones here by Northmore via asos.com); Converse high-tops; Marco Buggiani bag (old, bought at TJ Maxx).

Sheer floral

Hi everyone!
This sheer top by Leith I got quite some time ago, at Loehmann's (when there were still a few locations of it in Illinois). It's very versatile, because it's sheer and light enough for summer, but then it has long sleeves, so it can still be appropriate for slightly cooler weather in the fall, worn without a jacket. The colors are so subdued and pretty, and that particular color combo is quite beautiful I think! There's something very elegant about it; I did wear it to a formal event with black cigarette pants awhile back. Here, paired with jeans and sling back flats it still remains elegant, but is toned down by the rest of the outfit being casual.

Wearing: Leith top (old, but this Lucky Brand top is VERY similar and has the cutest back detail); Anine Bing jeans (sold out, but very similar here via Asos.com and on sale!); Badgley Mischka bag (via TheRealReal); Trouve slingbacks (old, bought on mega sale at Nordstrom Rack).

Embroidery

How amazing is this Zara dress? Embroidery has been such a huge trend the last few months and looks like it will continue into fall. This dress is from Zara's latest (fall I might add) collection, so the trend is going strong! The fabric is definitely thicker and very fall appropriate. The dress will look great with opaque tights as well, so come winter temperatures, I think it can still be worn well into winter months. The embroidery is so beautiful and intricate, it made me gasp when I first saw it online. Not on sale yet, unfortunately, since it's a part of the new collection, but it's such a wow piece, I think it's worth the price!

Wearing: Zara dress (very similar here by Shein.com and another one here); Sam Edelman ankle peep toe booties (old).

My wishlist with Shein.com

Who says summer is over? These pieces may look summer-like, but I truly believe all of them can be worn through fall if paired with the right pieces. How cute would the two dresses look with skinny jeans (worn as tunics if you will; I do that all the time!)? The black dress with the white ruffle in and of itself is a great fall piece. Pair it with a great pair of ankle boots and you're good to go! Both white shirts, I mean, is there even a season in which white shirts are more appropriate than in any other season? I don't think so! A white shirt is a white shirt and can be worn all year round. I also added an off the shoulder and an embroidered top, because, like I said, summer is not over just yet, and those have been such a huge trend the last few months. I hope you like this round-up below and as an added bonus Shein.com offers such affordable prices that it's almost impossible not to get anything!

Hope you have a great day and thanks for visiting my blog!

New pants

I got these pants because I fell in love with the dusty rose color (although the website says it's a 'tan' color) and their shape. I love the slouchiness in the butt and along my thighs and how they get slimmer toward the ankles with a cute button closure at the bottom. My favorite pant style, if you ask me! A perfect combo of slouchy and slim! I normally am not a fan of linen type fabrics, and even though they're made of a woven fabric and not linen, they feel very linen like and I don't mind it. They're delicate enough to be perfect for the summer heat, but I also think they will do fine in the cooler fall temperatures. They will look great with a leather jacket or a chunky knit sweater loosely draped over them. Hurry, s few sizes are still available!

Wearing: Asos pants; Only high-low hem top (via asos.com and only $10.50!); Tom's ankle peep toe booties; Swatch watch.

Tiger

A very simple outfit with a twist! Doesn't get more simple than a pair of jeans, a white T-shirt, and a pair of ankle peep toe booties. All I added was this funky vest with a tiger print and suddenly I've added a point of interest to my look. The vest is so old that I won't even try looking for a link to it :) so my apologies! Instead of a vest, it can be a cool jacket, an eye-catching bag or a statement necklace and you are ready to go! Simple outfits are the best, because changing one item creates a whole new look, but really you're wearing the same clothes haha!
Happy long Labor Day weekend!

Wearing: Gap jeans (old, but these are almost identical and also by Gap); H&M white tee (old, but another H&M tee here); Sam Edelman ankle peep toe booties; vest from Loehmann's (super old).
