Black, green and mustard yellow are my favorite colors. I switch between mustard yellow and green to decide which of those two is my second place and which is the third. But anyways, this particular shade of green (as seen above) has to be my favorite variation of green! Surprisingly it is difficult to find any piece of clothing in this absolutely lush green color, and I personally maybe have one (!) item in my closet, even though I am always on a lookout for anything green. Green (in any shade, really) is also such a great year-round color and suits any complexion. If I haven't convinced you yet, check out some of the items I've linked below.

Green: Asos scarf, Mira ballet flats, 3.1 Phillip Lim crossbody bag (on major sale!), UGG rainboots, Monki top.

It was a very cold weekend, and even though I tried to hold off on wearing my heavier parka for as long as I could, I really couldn't wear anything else. Brrr! I am not really a puffy coat person; parkas have always been my version of the heavy winter coat. Obviously some are very light and more appropriate for fall, but there are plenty of heavier ones out there you can wear in cold winter months. I've linked up a variety of choices below. Have a great day everyone!
Wearing: Monki parka via (old, a similar option here, here, here, and here. All are on sale; the last one is via where you can get a 20% discount with code GOGOGO); Monki jeans (sold out, similar Monki here); Converse Chuck Taylor high-tops.

Black Friday sales

In a sea of all the sales happening today, one of the many I wanted to talk about is Anthropologie's sale (30% off everything!), as this lace top I am wearing is from Anthropologie and it's such a beauty! The lace work is very intricate, but mainly why I love it is the loose silhouette of it - away from my body, longer in the back, the high neck, perfect for layering over anything and black! I already named it my 'special' top that I know I will wear for special occasions, but here, with jeans, it looks just as magnificent. This particular style is already sold out, but I linked very similar ones below, all 30% off today only.

Wearing: Anthropologie lace top (similar Anthropologie hereherehere, and here); Monki jeans (via where everything is also 30% off!); Target ankle boots (sold out, but almost identical Target here and also 30% off); Rag & Bone cross body bag (via  TheRealReal); Boho Betty navy and gold bracelets (50% off today plus 20% more with code 'frugalgals').

Silver skirt

I am sure you have seen this trend everywhere by now, and I normally wouldn't have given into it (not every trend is for everyone), except that it reminded me about this silver, shimmery skirt that I got a million years ago at Loehmann's, and which still had the price tag on! It's Kenneth Cole and I got it for super cheap (frugal!) - less than $20! I probably would have gotten rid of it a long time ago, if it weren't for a fact that it checks all the special occasion boxes, and every now and then you do need something special to wear. Here, I obviously made it look more casual paired with a laid back, baggy sweater, but paired with an elegant top and a blazer, it would make for that special look you need once every blue moon. It might just be this perfect piece to wear on Thanksgiving, so on that note, have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Wearing: Kenneth Cole skirt (very old, similar Zara here, comes in two colors and is only $25.90); Nasty Gal sweater (old, similar Zara here and Monki via here); Target ankle boots; Rag & Bone crossbody bag (via TheRealReal.

Color block tunic

Hello! Today this lovely color-block Forever21 tunic and photos with my Leo, who always wants to be in my pictures :)
I love the colors of this tunic and how sharply they contrast with each other. The brick-orange is perfect to wear in the fall as it blends so nicely with all the fall colors. I got it over the summer and it absolutely can be worn in the summer too with other pieces like a jean short or slim pants in lighter color. Here, I paired it with slim black pants because I wanted to wear my black ankle boots to elongate the leg and pick up the black color from the tunic.

Wearing: Forever21 tunic (sold out, another top with similar colors here and here); H&M pants (sold out, but similar Asos here); Vince ankle boots (old, bought at TJ Maxx, similar herehere ); abelief charm necklace.

Winter accessories

Winter is coming... (Game of Thrones, anyone?) Anyways, winter does not have to be boring if you spice up your winter looks with accessories. Think pom pom hats, scarves, gloves or fun sunglasses! My number one in winter accessory has to be a fun scarf! I am such a sucker for colorful scarves and the bigger the better. It's safe to say that for most of us a winter look is an all black look, so colorful accessories are such a great and easy way to make you look more playful. I've gathered some fun, colorful, accessories above, but also linked some great scarves below.

Scarves: Asos, Oasis, Monki, Asos, Zara.

Blue scarf

In love with this blue Asos scarf! Blue is not typically a color I go for; in my closet there are probably only maybe two or three items in that color, but this particular shade is so beautiful that I had to get it as soon as I saw it! The color is just as beautiful in person as it is in pictures and it cost only $25! Definitely a showstopper and makes an entire outfit!
Wearing: Asos scarf (color in person is more true to my pictures than those on; Wilson's leather jacket (very old, similar BLANKNYC here and Nasty Gal here), Monki jeans (via; size W30); Free People leopard print ankle boots (sold out, similar Steve Madden here).

An old Asos dress today, but it has a special place in my heart ever since I got it. I love the bold black and white color palette, but more importantly, the back! A deep V in the back for a more edgy look. One way to wear this dress is with nothing underneath it (and have a bare back entirely), but I opted for a black body to layer underneath with straps across the back, such that the straps are showcased and almost look like they are part of the dress. As mentioned in other posts, shift style is my favorite dress style; I love the fabric to be away from my body. It's comfortable, but doesn't look frumpy.
Wearing: Asos dress (old, similar Asos here and Dr Denim via here); Asos bodysuit (old, amazing one here); Tom's ankle booties (these Jessica Simpson and Kelsi Dagger are almost identical and both on sale); Betsey Johnson sunglasses (old, a gift from my sister-in-law).

Leopard print booties

A quick post today about an all black look, which is very often my go-to for the office. Our mornings are hectic and rushed (trying to get my kids ready for daycare and getting myself ready on top of it), so when the time comes that I need to put some clothes on and rush out the door, I usually opt out for something black and I am done! Hey, black goes with everything, right? So any black pieces I grab from my closet will go with each other. To spice up the look a little bit, accessorize! Add a colored bag or a printed scarf and you suddenly stand out from the crowd. Here, I am wearing calf hair, leopard print ankle boots, which definitely grab attention and the whole ensemble is no longer basic. I used to think of leopard print as being very tacky overall, but really, when applied in small dozes, it can be quite chic and edgy.
Wearing: H&M coat and pants (both sold out; similar pants here by New Look via; Free People ankle boots (sold out; these by Steve Madden are pretty great; these Thelma are pretty great too!); DKNY bag.

Check coat

For those that remember when Zara had a similar coat a couple of years ago, you will notice that the one I am wearing in today's post is almost identical. I LOVED that Zara coat and it even went on sale, but I was too late. My friend got it and I wanted it so much! Anyways, fast forward to sometime later, and I come across this coat! It has slightly different fit (mine is more column like, whereas Zara's was more form fitting), but the colors are on point! It's funny how those things happen! Hope you all have a great day and thanks for visiting!
Wearing: JollyChic coat (this particular style is sold out, but a slightly different style, in the same colors as mine herelove this French Connection one as well!); Zara scarf (old); H&M pants; Charles by Charles David white pumps (sold out; Kendall + Kylie version here and a Stuart Weitzman white patent leather here on sale with few sizes still available).

Yellow top

Hello! A casual look again today, because being a mom of two little boys means I need as many comfy clothing as I can get my hands on. Especially when I need to change during the day sometimes, unless I want to have food smears all over me haha! This tee comes in my favorite color (besides green and black of course!) and was on sale at Anthropologie for less than $30. It has a raw edge finish along the hemline (which you can't see here unfortunately), which adds just the right amount of detail. Quite a few times I spent a little more on a tee than I usually do, simply because a good quality tee is as good an investment as a great blazer, classic pumps or a great pair of jeans! A classic, solid tee (short or long sleeved) is that item you can wear over and over again styled in many different ways, and not just for casual looks like mine here, but for an elegant dinner look or a lunch meeting. Naturally, paired with proper items to make it look more sophisticated.
Wearing: Anthropologie tee (sold out, but almost an identical Anthropologie tee here; and a white one  here); Anine Bing jeans (sold out, a similar Anine Bing pair here on sale, another similar H&M here for only $19.99!); Rafe bag; Qupid lace up booties (sold out, but similar Aldo here and on sale!)
