A mini skirt & a cardi

Not my comfort zone at all, wearing a mini skirt, but I have been trying to push myself lately to try new things. Funny thing is that this skirt is by no means 'new'; in fact, it's at least 6 or 7 years old. When I got it, I fell in love with the fact that it has pockets and that peach color is so pretty too! I paired it with a knitted cardi and ankle peep toe booties to make it more 'cool everyday look' as opposed to putting on heels and making it a 'going out look'. Who says everyday wear needs to involve a pair of jeans (my go-to!) and not a mini skirt? I will have to remember that when I have the urge to wear jeans yet again and be hot in them in a 90 degree weather haha! This cardigan sweater is an Anthropologie find and I have to say that the colors on it are so dreamy! A combination of the peach color and this burnt yellow /almost brown just captured my heart. It's a little heavy to wear all day in the summer, but it's perfect for a cooler evening out and once fall comes I am sure I will wear it constantly.

Wearing: H&M skirt (old, similar herehere and here); Anthropologie sweater; Target ankle peep toes; Target fedora hat (similar here and here); Noisy May gray tee (similar here).

Ruffled back

How cool is this ruffle back? I love that it's striped; it just adds such a nice touch to the look, but more importantly the way it flows away from the body is my favorite thing about it. I almost want to say 'business in the front, party in the back' haha, right? Because it really is! Clean gray cotton in the front and some flair in the back... I got it a while back on clearance at Anthropologie, but linked very similar ones below. Hope you're having a great day and thank you for visiting!

Wearing: Anthropologie top (old, similar herehere); Anine Bing jeans (sold out, similar H&M herehere and here); Pampiani ankle peep toes (via TJ Maxx, similar here and here); 3.1 Phillip Lim bag (via The Real Real, love this similar one here and here); Swatch watch.

Zara green metallic pumps

These Zara green metallic pumps are in the prettiest green shade you'll ever see! It is just so vibrant and glistens beautifully! I find Zara pumps to be extremely comfortable, but not as comfortable as Nine West. Nine West pumps have been number one on my list for years as far as comfort is concerned. Anyways, I pushed the envelope the other day and wore these at the office... eek! I got many compliments, but I wasn't sure if the fact that they're metallic might have been a little too much for a corporate office approved attire. Luckily no one said anything about it so I might do it again haha! You guys, they are still in stock and only $49.90 so please get them because they are worth every penny and will transform your looks (whatever they might be) into very special ones!

Wearing: Zara metallic pumps; Vince t-shirt (old, similar here and here); G-Star jeans (old, similar G-Star here; different brand here); Badly Mischka bag (similar here and here).

Shoe dreams do come true!

The day these arrived was the day that my shoe dream came true! Ok, maybe 90% of it haha! I do have a couple more pairs of ankle boots on my wishlist that I have been dreaming and obsessing about for the longest time. But more on that some other time...
These Chloe Susanna boots are absolutely stunning and although I have been wanting a black pair, I am actually happy I ended up with a gray version, because I honestly don't have a single pair of gray shoes, let alone ankle boots (my favorite style ever!). This gray is perfect, not too light and not too dark either and the leather is so soft. Alright, I could go on and on forever, so I am just going to leave it at that. Oh, the most important thing - I got them on The Real Real so on a major discount!

Other colors: burgundybluerednavy in suede.

Cold shoulder

The shoulder button closure of this dress captured my heart the minute I saw it! I am always drawn to interesting details (the devil is in the details, right?) and this one definitely had that 'it' factor for me. It is a dress, but I love wearing dresses over pants and here I am wearing it with my favorite pair of jeans as of late. For those of you that don't mind a shorter length it would be perfect to wear as a dress, but I am not a huge fan of exposing a lot of skin if I can come up with a different way of wearing/styling things. I hope you like this combo I've put together and thank you for visiting!

Wearing: Poppy Apparel dress (sold out, but this blouse has the same shoulder detail); Anine Bing jeans (similar Anine Bing here, H&M here); Loeffler Randall sandals (old via The Real Real, similar here and here); Rag & Bone cross body bag (old via The Real Real, similar here and love this one here).

Romper

We shot these photos a few weeks ago when it was still cold enough to wear tights, but I think it's ok to share them now too despite a warmer weather, because this romper can obviously be worn in the summer without the tights. I love its rich velvet texture and the fact that it's black! It is a great piece to wear for a hot date or a girls night out with either flat sandals or some stilettos. Accessorize however you want it because it's a perfect canvas for whatever jewelry or other accessories come to your mind. I hope you got convinced haha! If you choose to go with an all black look, know that you can never go wrong there either!

Wearing: Anthropologie romper (size M, size L here); Target tights; Napoleoni ankle boots (similar Napoleoni here, other similar here and here); vintage necklaces.
