Pink utility vest

Sign me up for a utility anything any day! And.. this vest is in this beautiful pink color & has a hoodie? Double score! Utility style jackets are one of my favorite styles of jackets, and I was excited for this one to be a vest so I can still wear it in the summer. I love the double pockets and hello, it has a hoodie. Funny that when we were shooting these photos last weekend, it actually did start to drizzle a little, so I lucked out big being able to just pop the hood over my head right after shooting as we headed to run some errands with the kids haha! I love that the pink adds some femininity to this otherwise not so feminine style. Hope you like my post today and thank you for visiting!

Wearing: My Sister's Closet vest (almost identical here and here exactly like mine in olive); Helmut Lang pants (old, similar here and here); Sam Edelman ankle booties (old, similar here and here); Rag & Bone bag (similar here and here).

Olive green with floral print

Probably my favorite shirt ever! Not kidding! I even got it in a size too small when I stumbled upon it; that's how much I loved it! The size too small turned out to be alright, as the style is a little on the oversize side rather than being snuggly. What draw me to it was the color first of all; that deep olive green that I just love. Second of all, it was this floral print. One I haven't seen before and in unexpected colors that stand out so beautifully against the olive green. I wear it to the office and on the weekends a lot too, paired with a cool pair of jeans or leggings. Today I wanted to show it in a 'wear-to-the-office' version, so I paired it with black pants and some stilettos. For a more cool and relaxed vibe, my pants' style is slouchy and they have a dropped crotch. I love a dropped crotch pant style! My hubby doesn't haha or any other man I presume, but oh well. I can't help it that oversized clothing is my favorite thing EVER!

Wearing: Warehouse shirt (old); Helmut Lang pants (similar here and here); Steve Madden cross body bag (similar here and here); Forever21 pumps (old, similar here and here).

Beaded bodysuit

You guys! I wish I could link this specific bodysuit for you, because it is so beautiful, but unfortunately it sold out by the time I even received it in the mail. Bummer! It was on sale too, but I linked similar ones below that I think are just as statement-making as this one.
I don't typically wear a deep V neckline, but I had to let it go this time as this bodysuit was too good to pass up. The bodysuit itself is made out of a thick lycra fabric (it stretches nicely), so it should last me a long time. Here, I am wearing it with jeans, but worn with a killer skirt will make a more glamorous and chic outfit. And need I point out how beautiful this beaded bird is?

Wearing: Urban Outfitters bodysuit (sold out, similar New LookTopshopForever21Forever21); Maison Scotch jeans (old, similar Maison Scotch here and on sale here, other brand here); Target block heel sandals; Miss Sixty bag (old, similar here and here); abelief gold necklace.

Be You

This Be You tee will be my go to the rest of the summer! It is the softest and cutest with those floral sleeves and a powerful 'Be You' message. I love that the body of it is gray, because you can never go wrong with gray! Goes with everything and since I got it last week, I had already worn it three times haha! I'll keep today's post short and sweet and will wish you a great Monday!

Wearing: Mindy Mae's Market Be You tee; Anine Bing jeans (similar here and here); Chloe Susanna boots (gray are sold out at the moment, here are brownblackpinkblue); EyeBuyDirect Aurora glasses in 'Flecked Ivory'.

The most versatile top

When I come across a top that is classic but versatile, I tend to get it in a few colors right away. Such was the case with this blouse, because I love the little gathered detail in the front and the loose fit, but overall it is still simple and classic enough (plus, that windowpane pattern) that I know I can wear it with almost anything in my closet. I will layer it with a cute bra top underneath, I will wear it with jeans, office pants, a skirt, a pair of denim shorts... really, anything! So when I said before that in these situations I get an item in a few colors, I wasn't lying. I also got it in a blush pink, pale blue and sage green. I can't wait to also wear it in the fall with a cardigan over it for a layered look.
Wearing: Shein blouse (also in pink and baby blue); Mango jeans (similar Mango here; different brand here); Free People sandals (my color sold out, in red here; similar here and here); Anne Klein tote (almost identical here; similar one here); Swatch watch.

Basket bag

My version of the basket bag trend you've seen everywhere this summer. I liked this trend from the very beginning, but wanted to do something a little different and then I remembered these round baskets I've seen over the years at either TJ Maxx or Home Goods. They may be designated as a home d├ęcor baskets more than a bag to carry, but oh well... I found mine on Amazon and linked it for you below. I love that the handles are finished off in leather to make them more sturdy and to me, more edgy. There are a ton of other colors on Amazon so let your imagination run wild with this one!

Wearing: Basket bag (my color in smaller size here; love this one here and here); Asos pants (old, almost identical here); Michael Kors denim jacket (old, similar here and here); H&M white tee; Adidas Gazelle sneakers (similar color here, love these New Balance); Target hat (similar here and here); Daniel Wellington watch (use code SOMEPOPOFDW for a 15% off).

Basic tee with a twist

Helmut Lang is one of my favorite designers EVER! Their clothes are minimalistic at a first glance (usually in a black-white-gray-beige color palette), but at a closer look they all offer a little detail or a twist that makes you gasp! Or at least take another look at them and appreciate the creativity and the design. Those of you who are familiar with their work, will know exactly what I am talking about. I love how they turn even the simplest tee into one that has something unique to offer. This one here has a fun draping in the back and it may seem 'oh, been there, done that', but believe me that this tee is AMAZING! The softest and comfiest too and just a great staple to have in your closet. Just recently I wrote about how I won a $500 store credit through TheRealReal affiliate program and this tee is one of the items I got. Wait till you see another Helmut Lang item I received - a white blazer with black leather sleeves in the softest leather ever! Can't wait to shoot it soon. Meanwhile, I hope you like this basic look perfect for any weekend or a day full of errands running, coffee sipping and lunching :) !

Wearing: Helmut Lang tee (almost an identical one here and here); Anine Bing jeans (also, similar here); Zara sandals (old, love these here and here); 3.1 Phillip Lim bag; Swatch watch.

Yellow + leopard print sweater

I know it's still summer, but wanted to do a post today featuring some fall staples. We actually have been experiencing a little drop in temperatures the last week or so and I am not mad about it at all! It's so refreshing when you don't wake up to an already hot, 90 degree day... Anyways, fall will be here before we know it and I wanted to do a post with this fun leopard print sweater in an unexpected color combo! I love wearing slightly oversize sweaters that can be thrown on for an easy, cool and laid back look. I love the yellow, obviously, but also how fun are those lilac/ purple leo spots? So unique! I had to pair it with jeans in a boyfriend cut and add some nude pointy pumps. Simple, yet a stylish look, my favorite kind! Hope you like it and thank you for visiting!

Wearing: Shein sweater (sold out, similar here, here and here); Maison Scotch jeans (similar, by the same brand here and here); Madewell bag (old, similar herehere and here); Asos pumps (old, similar here); Daniel Wellington watch (use code SOMEPOPOFDW for a 15% discount).
