A blue coat + rust suede boots

It feels great to finally feel like myself again (ok, about 80%) after having been sick and in bed with a flu for a week (!!!). Gosh, sucks to be sick and especially when you're a parent, because 1) you don't want your kids to get sick either and 2) you can barely fix yourself a cup of tea so how in the world are you supposed to take care of children on top of it? But better me than them. Our kids go to daycare, so I could truly rest and stay in bed, but one day they stayed home with me and I seriously struggled. Anyways, now my younger munchkin is sick, poor guy, and had to take him to a doctor today (on his birthday no less!) with what turned out to be an ear infection. Ugh! This winter has been brutal. The flu and everything in between has definitely been going around and I am so looking forward to all of this being done! Spring seriously couldn't come fast enough...

We shot these photos a few weekends ago when that particular weekend was unusually warm. It felt so nice to wear lighter layers and not be bundled up from head to toe. My blue coat is so old (I am talking maybe 10 years), but boy do I love this blue color! So bright and happy. In fact, a really happy shade of blue and I am not even a huge blue fan overall. I posted a pic of it earlier this month on my Instagram page and it definitely was a favorite, the coat I mean. Glad so many of you liked it.

Wearing: Blue coat (no name & very old; similar style here); H&M turtleneck (now on sale for less than $20); vintage jeans (almost identical here and here); Urban Outfitters suede ankle boots (also, very similar here); vintage bag (an Etsy find).
