Maaaaaybe I have been wearing pink way too often recently haha but I still have a few ‘pink’ posts up my sleeve, so it’s not over just yet!
I love the red against the pink here… What is it about a pink/red color combo that I like so much? I don’t know the answer to this question, but I do love that contrast here and also the contrast against the rust color of the skirt.
I wanted to layer different style pieces here and so a pink sweatshirt is up against a crisp, classic button down shirt. I added white shoes so they pick up the white from the shirt and I like how it all creates a casual but unexpected look.
I actually cut the sweatshirt to this length too… It was cropped originally, but not us much as you see here AND it was cinched at the bottom with elastic which would have been fine, except for the fact that when I put on the shirt underneath, it created a balloon-y sort of effect with the shirt, which I didn’t like. So off went the elastic waist and now the silhouette of it is loose and away from the body.
Wearing: Forever21 sweatshirt (sold out currently, but I linked it as it already came back in stock once before. Similar pink/red sweater here); Asos shirt; Asos patent leather skirt (old); Trouve slingback flats (almost identical here); Zara bag (identical here).
