Photos for today’s post were taken some time ago right after I got these Zara beaded earrings – I just couldn’t wait to wear them immediately!
I particularly love that shade of green mixed with a light pink color! They are a bit heavy to wear all day, but for a night out they are absolutely perfect. All you need to wear with them is something really simple to let them be the focus. OR alternatively, if you like mixing prints and colors, go for something super bold and create an all around colorful outfit.
Here, I purposely wore another green color; I wanted the green from the earrings to be picked up. My choice was a mint green to create more visual interest with different shades of green. This mint green is almost like a neutral, don’t you think? It’s light enough that it may actually go with so many other color choices. It is an old Forever21 find, but I linked almost identical sweaters down below.
Wearing: Zara earrings (sold out, but check these great options here, here, here and here); Asos sweater (old, identical here, similar here and here); Maison Scotch jeans (very similar here); Trouve flats (identical here and here).
Random life facts:
1. I rarely get excited for anything that’s on TV (with the exception of a few shows that I have watched forever), but recently I stumbled upon the information that there will be an HBO mini series ‘Sharp Objects’ based on a novel by Gillian Flynn (a Chicago native, no less). I read all her books, ‘Gone Girl’, ‘Dark Places’ and ‘Sharp Objects’ and have to say ‘Sharp Objects’ was my FAVORITE so I was so anxious to see how HBO does the mini series on it. If you read any of her books, you’ll know what I’m talking about. All three are psychological thrillers and the author builds suspense so well, you can’t stop reading until you finish! This mini series will start Amy Adams as the main character. There were already adaptations of her two other books, ‘Gone Girl’ with Rosamund Pike and Ben Affleck and ‘Dark Places’ starring Charlize Theron.
So far so good, guys! After watching the premiere episode last Sunday, I am hooked and Amy Adams really does such a good job. I know what will happen next having read the book, nonetheless, I am so so anxious and curious for what’s to come.
