Windbreaker jacket

September 12, 2018

Fall layering… I think it’s safe to say that we’ve had one of the most hot and humid summers in a long time here in Chicago. We typically, especially in the last few years, have had only about a week or two of highly humid days, but this summer definitely was an exception. And not in a good way….

So, I just crave cooler temperatures so badly right now and fall can’t come fast enough.

I am ready; enter this thin windbreaker jacket with burgundy accents. I love the stitches all across the front and the high neck adds a nice touch too. This fabric is so soft to the touch but it remains to be seen if it actually is a ‘windbreaker’ LOL and will keep me warm on windy days…

If not, that’s fine by me. I will layer it with t-shirts and sweaters or over a shirt dress like you see here. I thought this combo was unexpected and I am happy with how the two garments look together.

It also comes in a vibrant red/ navy/ light blue combo, which I linked below. You’d think that I would more likely go for the red option, but something about this pink really spoke to me and I wanted the pink version more than the red/ navy one.

Wearing: Urban Outfitters windbreaker jacket (red/ navy version here); H&M shirt dress (similar herehere and here); Chloe Susanna ankle boots.
