I love the versatility of bomber jackets – they are great for layering with sweaters and even other jackets over them or as a layer underneath!
The neutral color of this one lends itself to the versatility even more as I can pair it with virtually anything. So I wanted to do just that – pair it with something more colorful and playful. I mixed the colorful beanie with a colorful print on my t-shirt and the interesting stripe detail on my shoes. My shoes are quite old (but found almost identical ones and linked them below), but man oh man, how I love these! The black and white stripes are so interesting and your eye immediately catches that detail!
I like how the print on the t-shirt peeks through for that pop of color and the beanie is a great colorful item that could stand on its own as well.
Speaking of that, aren’t hats just a GREAT way to accessorize an outfit or introduce a color to an outfit if everything else you wear is in a muted color palette? Think a neutral look with an unexpected color on your hat and you’ve got yourself an eye catcher! Same goes for scarves or gloves and autumn/ winter season is obviously a great time to do that!
Wearing: Universal Standard bomber jacket; Reclaimed Vintage abstract print t-shirt (so affordable!); Monki jeans (similar here and here); Zara beanie hat (similar here and here); Mango shoes (almost identical here).
You wear beanies so well!! This jacket is adorable and would be a great New Years jacket too!!
Thank you Nikki, you're so sweet! Hats are definitely growing on me and I love how casual yet cool beanies can look 🙂
That bomber is so good!! And I love your hat!JenniferEffortlessly Sophisticated
Thanks! I am totally a chunky knit beanie person if I had to pick one style of hats I really liked the most!
