How I re-styled the same combat boots & pink sweatshirt

January 30, 2019

You’ve seen my boots, this pink sweatshirt and my skirt before but you know I like re-cycling the same items because truly that’s the reality, right? We all repeat outfits and I do the same, duh! And so I want to show you guys how to mix the same items to create different looks.

FYI, these boots still make me so happy… I mean, they are so badass and nothing I’ve seen before (check them out in this recent post).

So in this look, I like how the eye travels throughout the entire outfit thanks to the white accents – from the boots to the skirt, the bag and finally up to the sweatshirt. It just all ties together and frankly I wasn’t planning on it LOL but once I paired the skirt with the sweatshirt, I knew I needed to add the boots and the bag to continue with that white accent.

Mixing and matching is probably my number one styling hack – I mix more dressy items (my skirt) with something very casual and street (boots and sweatshirt)… I love how these types of looks turn out so effortless and somehow it all works together. Also, mixing very affordable pieces with more pricey items is another great way to create these cool looks that will withstand the test of time. Do you have a favorite styling hack or any rule of thumb for how you put together your looks?

Wearing: Sigerson Morrison boots (now almost 50% off, plus similar here and here); H&M sweatshirt (sold out, similar hereherehere and here); YAS skirt; Brahmin bag.
