Dreaming of spring in a ruffled top!

The lightness of the ruffles (on any garment) epitomizes warmer weather for me and so I definitely felt very ‘spring-y’ wearing this top (don’t mind the snow on the ground LOL)!

I really enjoy the ruffles on the sleeves here rather than anywhere else… I thought this was a unique take on ruffles placement. The shoulder ones make the torso look broader of course but I think that it’s balanced out here by the volume of the pants and the proportions just work.

The length of the top is such that it looks just as good when not tucked in, but here I wanted the high waist in the pants to be shown off so I tucked the top in. And talk about the high waisted pant – I mean, these pants’ high waist is waaaayyyy up high LOL but I love it!

Side note, when your kids ask when the winter will finally end, then you know it truly has been a looooong enough winter haha! I mean, kids are happy in any weather; they’ll always find ways to have fun with it, but in this case maybe it has been a tad too long, sooo…. we are just so ready for spring to arrive, all of us!

Any styles that you particularly love wearing in the spring? Leave me a comment down below – I would love to find out! I am craving florals and more ruffles and will definitely utilize lighter fabrics once the weather permits wearing lighter layers.

Wearing: Asos top (old, similar hereherehere and here); Asos pants; Zara shoes (similar herehere, here and here); DKNY quilted bag.
