How can I add color to my outfit in a subtle way? This top is a perfect representation of a ‘pop of color’ outfit idea – because think about it – if I wanted to wear a monochromatic look but wanted some color added that makes an IMPACT – it would be this top that creates that impact, don’t you think?
Of course I didn’t wear a monochromatic color palette here LOL… but if I did and just added that top, I mean… It’s a top that doesn’t go unnoticed! And, not only it has the pretty purples in it but also the stripes create that gradient ombre effect which is to die for!
Love that the top itself is cotton and super comfy; it’s like a t-shirt but a very COOL one!
If you are a person that wears color in small doses, this is it! Wear a piece that has some color there but also adds that extra drama like these ombre stripes! I already wore this top so many times – on the weekend running errands and even at the camping trip last Labor Day weekend. Speaking of ombre, I had just remembered I had these ombre tights in light pink/ burgundy color (in this post) and need to re-wear them in the near future. Do you like ombre effect at all? I am a huge fan; that always catches my eye which is why this top right here feels so special to me. A small detail on a sleeve but it makes the whole top feel like one in a million.
Guys… I had pulled these leopard print ankle boots of mine outta the closet and all of a sudden I want to wear them with everything 🙂 I mean, we still have a pretty warm weather over here but when I saw these in my closet patiently waiting for fall weather to come, I really just grabbed them and was like ‘uhm I will wear you now because I forgot how gorgeous you are’ haha!
As much as I love summer and it’s just so easy to do things on a whim and go away for the weekend or just be super spontaneous because the weather is nice and planning activities for kids is super easy, I am secretly so excited for fall because Chicago has the BEST fall weather. It’s short though so that’s one negative thing about it but it’s hands down my favorite time of the year here!
