Alright…. confession time – I was looking for a seafoam green anything for a long time (I know, first world problems). I mean, it is such a unique color and of course when you look for something specific, you can never find it when you want it… But voila! This semi sheer blouse showed up on Zara and I was sold on it instantly!

Not to mention that that knotted-like texture is so good on here and adds that dimension to it. I also really love the balloon sleeves but really it’s the color and the texture that are my favorite.

And so because this blouse is semi-sheer I had to really think hard about what to wear underneath and I settled on wearing just a bra but in a contrasting orange color. Do you like it? I really do like how this turned out as you can see that orange peeking through this sheer blouse for that pop of color (what?? LOL).

Also, not a frequent thing of mine, but I decided to do a bold red lipstick to really make that contrast between the red lips and the green blouse POP! I somehow was very proud about how I managed to apply the lipstick quite well and not look like a 5 year old applied it for me haha 🙂 Because I really am so bad at applying lipstick, but guess what? The secret is in using the lipliner! I know, a no brainer for most, but not for me LOL! Just shows you that I don’t do this very often. But once I bought a matching lipliner, it was a breeze. Who knows, I might just wear lipstick more often? 🙂

You can wear this blouse with a camisole underneath if you’re not into the bra/ blouse combination. I would either do a white bra and a white camisole OR a nude (skin matching color) bra and a camisole also in nude for that seamless look. Whichever color option you would go for, I would make sure that the bra and camisole are in an IDENTICAL color.

I recently attended a blogger event in the city and a fellow blogger showed up wearing this blouse with a patent leather skirt and red boots; so good! She looked amazing and I got a confirmation that getting this blouse was the right choice 🙂 I think it’s actually a great top to wear for any holiday festivities coming up too because it’s chic and elegant and can be styled with a skirt or pants, whatever your preference may be.

Wearing: Zara blouse; Maison Scotch jeans (similar here, here and here); Shein bag; Celine shoes (similar here and here); M.A.C. red lipstick in color ‘Retro’; M.A.C. lipliner in color ‘Cherry’.
