And here I am… wearing a men’s shirt… Not sure if it’s the pattern or what but I think it’s one of those unisex pieces that can work so well for both men and women. Plus, quite honestly the boundaries between what is designed for men and women have shifted so much in the recent years, that it almost doesn’t matter anymore what the description of the garment says. At least it doesn’t matter to me! So let’s break this down how I styled this men’s shirt in a fun gorilla pattern!

I’ve always been the kind of person that if I really like something, I don’t care what the label or definition of it might be; I just go for it.  I LOVE that the pattern is in a navy color as that contrast with the brown is just so beautiful to me!

I needed to throw a coat on me that day as it was quite chilly (and windy) and so is there a more perfect coat here than a classic camel coat? The browns/ beiges compliment each other so well and I really like how it all came together. I’ve linked some amazing camel coats for you down below so please check them out.

I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t add one more color here (for that pop of color, right??) and so here comes the purple metallic crossbody bag that is just $10 guys! Yes, $10! What an impact it makes, huh? And by pure accident (lucky accident) it picks up that tiny tiny purple accent in the gorilla pattern. I am all about small crossbody bags recently because they are that easy throw-on accessory. Even though they don’t fit a ton of stuff, they’re still very practical and allow being hands-free which I really value when I’m running errands or just doing stuff with my kids.

Alright, I’ll circle back to the shirt for a sec guys… here, I buttoned it all up but imagine wearing it unbuttoned with a few layers of dainty gold necklaces and with a pair of denim shorts in the summer or with a different style jeans or a wide leg pant! Sky’s the limit! And even though the pattern is a little crazy (not to me, but I can see how it could be too much for some), I think the fact that the shirt is in this very classic/ neutral brown color, it almost feels very ‘neutral’ despite the busy pattern, if that makes sense! I haven’t been this excited about a piece of clothing in some time and I swear, this shirt has me so frigging excited! Bonus point, see how I just mentioned that it would look so great with denim shorts in the summer – well, the shirt is short sleeved so I will absolutely wear it in the summer too!

Wearing: Old Navy shirt (it is SO affordable; you have to check it out); Nasty Gal crossbody bag (only $10!); Nasty Gal high heel sandals; Zara coat (almost identical herehere, here and here); Maison Scotch jeans (similar here and here).
