Not very often I actually wear any hair accessories or even wear my hair up but I do make an exception for hair-clips and headbands. I couldn’t wait to show you these pearl hair-clips and how to wear them.
I have to say though that for years and years I couldn’t stand pearls at all and I probably still don’t like them a 100% (like, I don’t like pearl earrings or necklaces too much) but I don’t mind them at all as embellishment on a good ‘ol pair of hair-clips. Why am I selective when it comes to pearls…? Couldn’t tell you 🙂 And maybe a few years from now they will completely grow on me and I will LOVE them on absolutely everything… but for now I am OK with just liking them enough for my hair-clips.
My hair is pretty thin so any kind of hair accessory I wear has to be fairly light in weight and has to hold on to my hair pretty tight. And I like that my hair-clips here sit on tight and I don’t have to worry about them sliding off or moving around too much. I put two of mine on on one side in an asymmetrical fashion (not precisely lined up parallel to each other) for a more effortless look. Literally took two minutes to do and they are so darn cute!
Another way to wear these pearl hair-clips is to simply clip them on just above your ponytail or when you do a casual topknot to just clip them on in the back where you would maybe normally put bobby pins to make sure the hair doesn’t slip out. The possibilities are endless and depending on the length of the hair, there could be different ways you can wear these. I hope I have inspired you to venture out give those a try… plus, I love when just a simple accessory like that makes such a huge difference in how you normally style your hair. Bonus point for being super affordable because all the options I linked below do not cost more than $10!
Wearing: Asos pearl hairclips (plus, love these, these and these); Zara sweater (old, love this similar here, here and here); Maison Scotch jeans (old, very similar here and here); Diesel sneakers.
