Skincare favorites with Elizabeth Arden
I am always open to trying out new skincare products and I am glad I gave these a shot so keep on reading what my current skincare favorites are by Elizabeth Arden (not sponsored guys, just my honest review of these products)!
‘Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant’
I attended a blogger event a while back and while I did try Elizabeth Arden before, I did not try these particular products you see here that were covered at the event. My favorite of the bunch has to be the ‘Eight hour cream skin protectant‘ (second and last image). Guys… no words can describe how amazing this cream is! The fact that this formula was created in 1930 (yes!) and is still going strong is evidence enough, don’t you think?
It is a very rich/ thick formula that moisturizes and protects skin and is designed to be used for multitude of purposes – on your face, cuticles, scars, dry hands, etc. Yes! That is a all-in-one cream and really does wonders. I use it for all of the above and I apply it on my face at night about 2-3 times a week. Some might not like the smell of it as it is that very apothecary-like smell (to me it smells like Carmex), but I love it. The story behind the name of this cream (the ‘eight hour’) is such that one devoted client of Elizabeth Arden said she applied it on her child’s grazed knee and it was almost like new ‘eight hours’ later 🙂
The other favorite of mine is one from the same ‘eight hour’ family but for daily use (last image) – the ‘Eight Hour Daily Defense Moisturizer‘. It has a gel like consistency and suits all skin types. It moisturizes and protects the skin and has SPF35. It applies very easily and absorbs super quick which is always a plus for me when I need to do my morning skincare routine rather quickly.
‘Perpetual Moisture 24 Cream’
In the first image, the ‘Perpetual Moisture 24 Cream‘ (my cream has a French name version) is the other daily moisturizer that I apply regularly when I don’t apply the ‘Eight Hour’ cream I talked about above. I got mine at TJ Maxx for a fraction of the cost too which was great! Its light consistency absorbs well but it is rich in ingredients at the same time and keeps my skin moisturized all day. It contains antioxidants that helps repair damaged and tired skin.
‘Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules’
Now, onto the big guns 🙂 The capsules come in a package of 30 (last image) and this Vitamin C Ceramide Serum set is designed to be used once daily but not necessarily everyday. If used everyday, it will obviously last you 30 days but I use mine a few times a week (at night) and then make a one week to two week break and then use them again for a few days in a row. One capsule, although it seems small, will absolutely be enough for one application on the entire face. I LOVE these little guys. The satin-y texture of this dry oil serum applies easily on my face and immediately my skin feels so well taken care of (truth!).
It is a formula that is designed to protect against premature aging (hello, me!), it brightens the skin and evens the skin tone. And hello, vitamin C! It brightens the skin and the ceramides prevent moisture loss. I honestly really, really love these capsules and after those few days of application my skin feels like it’s been at a high end spa 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this post and please let me know if you try any of these (or any other Elizabeth Arden products) and which ones they were. Would love to try new ones if you have any recommendations! 🙂
